KUCHING (April 5): The Department of Veterinary Services Sarawak (DVSS) will organise three anti-rabies vaccination campaigns in Kuching, Serian and Sibu on April 12.

The campaigns are scheduled to take place at the MBKS Dewan Masyarakat, Kuching from 8.30am to 4.30pm; Dewan Pala Baki Batu 32, Serian from 9am to 4pm; and Kawasan Lapang, Kemunyang, Sibu (in front of shophouse) from 9am to 2pm.

These forthcoming events include microchipping and licensing services, announced the department on its official Facebook page recently.

“Do not miss out on this opportunity to ensure the safety of your beloved dogs and the community,” urged DVSS.

The department said pet owners must make sure that their dogs are at least three months old and are not involved in breastfeeding.

Pet owners, who have already had their dogs vaccinated against rabies, are reminded to bring along the identification card provided earlier.

The department also reminded pet owners to make sure that their dogs are well monitored at all times and must not allow their dogs to roam freely.

“Vaccination and licensing are mandatory. Let’s work together to keep our community rabies-free,” said the department.
