27 Students Receive Outstanding Student Award Incentives for Tarat

TARAT: A total of 127 outstanding students received the Outstanding Student Award incentives for the 2024 Academic Year for schools under the Tarat constituency area in a ceremony held at the Tapah Multipurpose Hall, Siburan on Saturday.

This incentive programme is an initiative by the Minister of Education, Innovation and Talent Development, Dato Sri Roland Sagah Wee Inn, who is also Tarat Assemblyman, in collaboration with all primary and secondary schools in the area.

This incentive aims to recognise and appreciate the academic achievements of students, especially in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) and Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) examinations, in addition to diplomas and degrees.

This year, the total amount of incentives distributed is RM27,660 with 75 people being SPM candidates while another 52 are STPM diploma and degree candidates.

In addition, prizes were also presented to schools excelling in co-curricular activities at the national level for 2024.

Beginning next year, incentives will also be extended to the best Year 6 students based on the results of the Dual Language Programme (UP-DLP) Achievement Test which includes three main subjects, namely English, Mathematics and Science.

The objective of this incentive is to encourage and motivate students to continue to work hard in academics and co-curricular activities, as well as to increase parents' awareness of the importance of supporting their children's excellence. - UKASnews
