SERIAN (Feb 9): The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) plays an important role as a bridge connecting homes and schools, said Serian MP Datuk Seri Richard Riot Jaem.
Pointing out that Serian district has 78 primary schools, he said student success does not rest solely on teachers but requires strong support from parents.
“I hope parents will continue to show commitment in PTA activities and assist the school in ensuring a conducive learning environment for our children,” he said when officiating the ‘Semarak Kasih, Sekalung Budi’ dinner organised by the SK Koran PTA here on Saturday.
Riot expressed his appreciation to the school and the PTA for organising the event, describing such gatherings as an effective platform to strengthen ties between teachers and parents.
He also congratulated teachers for their unwavering dedication in educating students, noting that their role is noble and their contributions in shaping the nation’s future are invaluable.
Among those present were SK Koran headmaster Junerason Anyew, PTA chairperson Linda Inchu, and Serian district education assistant officer Denvy Mell.
