SERIAN (Dec 29): Two new Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) projects worth RM300,000 were approved for Kampung Tebedu Bung Padus to improve safety and living conditions for its residents.

Serian MP Dato Sri Richard Riot Jaem in a statement said the projects included the upgrading of the Ntangan Bung Ubah longhouse’s lower structure and an access road and site levelling for a football field at Kampung Tebedu Bung Padus.

“Both of these RTP projects are allocated RM150,000 each,” he said when officiating the ‘Leaders with the People’, RTP project launch and Sejati Madani Program at the village on Saturday.

Riot said that among the completed RTP projects were the construction of a retaining wall at Ntangan Bung Ubah aimed at addressing soil erosion and enhancing safety.

During the event, Riot also celebrated Christmas together with members of the village development and security committee, women’s groups, the village choir, youths and residents.

Also present were Temenggong Henry Bujang Sendan and Pemanca Kane Manong.
